Paragon Racing is a talented group of students in Cheam High School, Cheam, Surrey, England who are participating in the STEM racing competition. We are passionate about pushing the boundaries of technology and engineering, and we strive to excel in every aspect of our journey.

At Paragon Racing, we are redefining the way we approach STEM racing. Our mission is to inspire and empower the next generation of engineers and innovators by showcasing cutting-edge technologies and fostering a collaborative spirit within our team. This is a great space to share our vision and the unique approach we bring to the STEM racing competition.

Sustainability

Our mission at Paragon Racing is to create and innovate while also reducing our environmental impact by using resources responsibly, minimising waste, and encouraging sustainable choices in our school and community. We aim to protect the planet by promoting sustainable alternatives, reducing energy use, and supporting environmentally friendly charities. We aim to make sustainable choices today, to aid our future.

As a team we reduced waste. We carried this out by having a very thorough research and development stage. Our engineers discussed every next best option before fully committing. This allowed us to print our cars only when necessary and reduce waste by destroying previous models. Not only does this reduce landfill waste and conserve raw materials, but it also saves money.

We at Paragon Racing meet sustainability goals by considering sustainable consumption. We showed some of our Year 7 students how to make body butters at home with raw ingredients which can reduce plastic waste. Additionally, we also carried out a pencil making session for younger students showing how waste newspapers can be reused and recycled into something useful. This integrates responsible production and consumption within ourselves at a younger age, allowing for habits to be formed and benefit our future generations.
