Fundraising

In order to help fundraise our STEM F1 in Schools project, we organised and ran bake sales at our school, Cheam High School and advertised them by making posters. These events allowed us to raise essential funds to support key areas of our project, including car manufacturing, materials, competition entry fees, and team resources.The bake sales were entirely planned and managed by our team, giving us valuable experience in budgeting, teamwork, and communication. We promoted the events within the school, prepared and sold a range of baked goods, and engaged with students and staff to raise awareness of our project and its goals. We also created a form for teachers to order cupcakes online. Not only did this initiative help fund our journey in the competition, but it also demonstrated our commitment, initiative, and entrepreneurial skills — key values of the F1 in Schools programme. We are grateful for the support of the Cheam High community and continue to seek further sponsorship to help us develop our car and represent our school at the highest level.
